We might have a lot of things that have divided us as a continent over the last 400 years. Our tribes, borders, religion, political association, generational gap, social classes etc. However, there is one thing that we all agree on, we need to change the current narrative about our continent and our people. We have had enough of being told we are poor, corrupt, lazy, illiterate, dark continent, third world country, the underdeveloped nation, that we cannot lead ourselves or solve our own challenges. It seems we must always borrow or beg from the west or the east for our own needs, infrastructure development, technology, energy, education, medicine, or food.
On the contrary our people are our greatest treasure. We have a vast number of our sons and daughters literally in every nation on this earth. There is no nation on earth that has sacrificed its sons and daughters to serve others nations more than our continent. There is no nation on earth that has sacrificed its natural resources to serve other nations more than our continent. We are naturally the most giving , sharing, and the most serving people on earth. Its called Ubuntu, a culture that values its people more than it values money.
We have been polluted and robbed by western cultures in many ways. Today we worship and love money more than we love our people. So like the legendary bird of fire, the Phoenix, from our ashes we shall rise. #africaisrising
We believe the current financial industry disadvantages our people and makes it almost impossible for our people to build and create industries and brands that are 100% African owned. We would like to change that. We have chosen RSA as our base, and in terms of RSA laws, the road map to getting a banking license starts with getting a Cooperative Financial Institution (CFI) license first as it only requires an Initial Capital of R100 000, next step would be a Mutual Bank which requires R10mil and ultimately a Commercial Bank which requires R250mil Initial Capital. RSA National treasury and Reserve Bank regulates and issue the licenses for this industry.
Therefore, to qualify for a CFI license we needed to achieve 3 things by the 31 December 2020:

We are therefore establishing LYT Think Tanks in all the 55 nations of our continent to strengthen our Common bond. First target is to establish a minimum of 20 members per the 55 National Think Tanks (NTT). 20 members per NTT X 55 African nations = 1100 members by the 15 December 2021. Each LYT National Think Tank would be key in creating a tailor-made service for their nation and grow the bank there.
With just 1100 true sons and daughters of our continent who cannot be bought or sold by the West or the East we will put together:

Therefore, we have declared that this is our decade, Africa's decade.
